Children and young people.

From time to time we run special workshops and holiday clubs for younger artists.

Summer holiday club 2023, two days of fun making, a 3D collaged lion and a mechanical fluttering moth/butterfly.

We also provide workshops and professional development to schools, as well as wellbeing sessions for professionals.

Please use the contact form to discuss how we could help your school develop the art curriculum.

Printmaking workshops at Romiley Primary School.

Over several days we modelled this technique to staff by teaching mono printing to key stage 2 children of varying abilities. The teachers then independently delivered the session and we discussed their experience. This resulted in the teachers taking part being confident to take this printing method forward to roll out to other members of staff.

The children were really proud of their prints and were excited to have a special artist visitor to spend time with them.

Collage and Frottage workshop at Romiley Primary School.

Our artist taught the children to take relief rubbings (frottage) which were then used to collage their birds inspired by the Mexican folk art. The project was taken forward by the teacher responsible for the development of the art curriculum into 3D sculptures.

The project broadened the children's cultural understanding and brought new techniques to the teachers artist skills.
