Linocut uses tools to carve into specialist printmaking lino, to create a relief line image, that's inked up and printed.

This is a relaxed and fun course; drawing skills are not necessary to enjoy this workshop.
What experience do I need?
This one day workshop is aimed at the complete beginner but is also suitable for those who have experience and want to get creative and inky in our studio using our large press.
What to expect:
We will provide all equipment and materials: paper and inks and images to work from. We will introduce you to the technique and talk you through the process to help you design your own print.
Who are your tutors?
Ami and Melanie are artists at Twisted Trees Productions who are qualified teachers with years of expreince teaching in universities, colleges and schools, as well as running large scale community art projects with the general public. They are both practicing artists who have exhibited nationally and internationally.
Do I need to bring anything?
All the inks, paper, tools and equipment are provided by us.
If you want to use your own images you are welcome to bring them along and we will help you to adapt them to the lino-cut process.
Please bring your own lunch, we will provide tea and coffee.
Bring an apron and/or wear clothes that you are not too worried about getting messy, just in case!
Accessibility
We aim to make our courses and workshops as accessible as possible. Our studio is accessible, however, there is no designated disabled access toilet, although toilets are on the ground floor with no steps to negotiate. Cancellations
We have the right to cancel the course for any reason (e.g. insufficient bookings) and will endeavour to give at least 7 days notice in the event. You will of course be entitled to a full refund.
If I can't attend, can I get a refund?
We will refund you if you cancel within 2 weeks of the workshop date, after which time no refunds will be given. You are welcome to pass the ticket on to a family member or friend if you contact us to confirm transfer of the ticket into another name.
